The latest update to Fortnite will have you decimating opponents even faster than before.
Another week, another patch for Fortnite. With new items, map changes, and more dropping on a regular basis, it truly feels like we're back in Chapter 1.

The latest Fortnite update introduces one of the most enigmatic weapons in the game's history. Following numerous leaks and much confusion, the Machine Pistol is now available in both Battle Royale and Creative.

This new gun, similar to the Stinger SMG, has high damage and a high fire rate at close range. The Machine Pistol's large magazine capacity and quick reload time make it ideal for applying pressure to healing enemies.
Though it can be useful from a distance, the damage decrease is significant. After testing it out, popular streamer SypherPK suggested that while many players run a Stinger and no Assault Rifle, the Machine Pistol may not be a viable option.
Do you want to give it a shot? The Machine Pistol can be obtained through chests, supply drops, sharks, floor loot, and fishing.
To the relief of competitive fans, this weapon will not appear in Arena or tournament playlists at first... Machine Pistols will be subject to the standard evaluation period and may be added at a later date.
This introduction feels like a double down from Epic in a season already dominated by all things spray. The Heavy Shotgun, which was unvaulted and upgraded in last week's v19.20 patch, remains the best counter for those who prefer to use Shotguns.
